4 Tips for Getting Gorgeous Listing Photos

Are you thinking about selling your home? In today’s market, that first showing is always online. So here are 4 tips to make sure your home is photo ready!

Tip #1: Declutter

Every buyer needs to be able to envision themselves living in the home, but that’s really hard to do when your family photos are looking back at them. The first step is to neutralize the home. This means using minimal decor, simple color palettes, and very few knick-knacks.

Tip #2: Open and Airy

Open spaces are so much more welcoming and inviting. So be sure to keep the home open and airy. For a brighter look, change all the bulbs, turn on all the lights, and open all the window coverings.

Tip #3: Find Your Golden Hour

Does your home have an incredible sunset view? Can you watch the sunrise as you sip coffee? I’m sure your future buyers are going to love that too! Take note of all the times these magic moments happen, because they’re going to be the best time to take pictures.

Tip #4: Glow Up the Outside

The outside of the home is usually the first photo that people see in your listing. So make sure your curb appeal shines! Put away the garden hose, kids’ bikes, and move the cars out of the driveway. Make sure hedges are trimmed away from the windows and there are strong, clean lines that you can see from the curb.
