All About Stagecoach Park
Buda’s Historic Stagecoach Park is steps away from Downtown on Main Street. The City of Buda is committed to resource preserving a piece of the area’s history for residents and visitors to enjoy in this city park.
Enjoy the Outdoor Capital of Texas
Hike or bike nature trails throughout Stagecoach Park’s 51 acres. Along the paths, you’ll find overlooks and a historic stagecoach creek crossing. Take in the beauty of all the mesquite and oak trees as well as white-tailed deer. Texas wildflowers in the Wildflower Meadow will delight springtime visitors when it’s in bloom. If you’re out on the trails, you can’t miss the windmill. There is a scout fire ring and three scout campsites, too!
Explore Buda’s History
The original structure of the McElroy-Severn House was built in the late 19th Century with an addition to it serving as Buda’s Post Office beginning in 1875. The house itself has seen multiple extensive renovations and additions as well as owners. In 1998, Joe and Victor Stanzel donated the post office and house to the City of Buda.
Clint’s Cabin was relocated to this location from the former Carrington Hotel and renovated by the City of Buda in 2014.
